Happy New Year!

We are entering what I believe to be the year of “Opportunities”. There will be doors opened for you that you didn’t know existed. God wants to do some things for you that you thought were impossible. However, we have to seek Him in order to possess all that he has for us. There is a perfect plan or purpose for each of our lives. This year Queens Corner will be focusing on the theme of “Living on Purpose!”
I believe that living a life of true success, is living out the plan that God has created you for. In living a life of purpose, there is the fulfillment of hope, knowing that you are created for a specific reason. There is an assignment that is for only you to fulfill, but you must find out what that is. Queens Corner is committed in 2007 to helping you move out of your comfort zone, and begin,“ Living Your Life on Purpose!”
May 2007 be your most fulfilling and prosperous year ever!

Purpose

We all have been given various talents, gifts and abilities. These things were given to help us to fulfill our purpose or mission. Again, God created us all with a specific plan for our lives. We should not be merely existing each day. I have found in my life that once I began to discover my purpose, it cleared up a lot of confusion for me. I talk to so many people that carry around this same life confusion. I truly believe that once you discover what you were created to do, much of your life confusion will clear up. Webster’ definition of confused is, being perplexed or disoriented with regard to one’s sense of time, place or identity. Isn’t that interesting? I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to live a life of confusion when I don’t have to. Ladies, I encourage you to stop going through life merely existing, and be diligent in pursuing your purpose. There is a higher way of life waiting on you to make the decision to Live It!

*“Not knowing what to do is not an excuse for doing nothing.”

Tips on Discovering your purpose:

  1. Pray and ask God to reveal to you what your purpose is.
  2. Identify what you are passionate about.
  3. Identify what you constructively enjoy doing.
  4. Begin to seek out information on what you identify as your passion and interests. (Talk to people you trust, get books, TV, internet, pastor, etc.)
  5. Write down the steps that you will need to do to get you in purpose.
  6. Begin!!!!

    *“Purpose will bring about wholeness.”

Goals

What are your goals? It is so important to set goals for ourselves. We have all heard at some time or another, about the importance of goal setting. Why? I believe that when we set goals and write them down, it keeps us growing and developing. It can be very easy to fall into complacency which leads to an unproductive life. In studying the lives of highly successful people, I have found that they are goal-setters. That makes sense, because in order to remain highly successful, you have to continue raising the bar for yourself. I would love to see all of God’s Queens live all-around highly successful lives. We must take the time to clearly define what we want in our lives. No one else can do this for us. Only you know what you truly need and want in your life. Because there are many things going on in our daily lives, I suggest writing down your goals. You can see them regularly and begin to take steps to achieving them. As always, pray and ask for wisdom so you will know what to do and how to get there.

*Psalm 32:23 -“My steps are ordered by the Lord and he delights in my way.”

What’s Holding You Back?

What’s holding you back from living your best life? Is it past mistakes or hurts? Could fear be present in some area of your life. In order to move forward, you must make the decision to leave the past where it is. Holding on to past hurts, mistakes or fear, will keep you stuck and hinder your growth in many areas of your life. In my opinion, the best way to move on from your past, is to simply Let It Go! Stop dwelling on who wronged you and begin to forgive, so you can heal. If you need to forgive yourself, then do so. Don’t let things in your past destroy your future. LET IT GO!! Take responsibility for your decisions and actions, and let go of blaming others. A true indication of maturity is learning to take responsibility for our decisions and actions. There may have been situations or circumstances that you had no control over, but you can’t change the past. I encourage you to learn from your past and not let it stop you from moving into your best life.

Closing Remarks

Change does not happen overnight. You must take the first step by choosing to begin to take action. 2007 will be a life-changing year for those of us that decide to make some life-changes. Start seeing yourself where you want to go and not just where you are today. Life is a journey so enjoy the process.
I love and thank you !!
